T2 Flat Plate Collector


The EWF T2 flat plate collector surpassed all requirements of EN12975-1,2 . Full test reports from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Frieburg are available on request. The T2 is listed on Clearskies (LCBP). This grant accreditation will move across to the BRE Microgenraton Scheme in 2008.

Large stocks of panels are kept at our South Norfolk facility to ensure continuity of supply. In addition we also stock Solar components as well as full kits, or simply as individual items, all available to public & trade. EWF are the UK Sales Agent for TWI.

With a realistic life expectancy of 25-30 years, ultra high build quality, superb performance and affordability, the T2 Collector offers exceptional value for money. Each panel is supplied with brass ¾” fittings as standard, with integral built-in expansion compensators to allow for daily expansion and contraction. The T2 panel is highly adaptable allowing for portrait & landscape fitting, either over-tile or roof integrated. Arrays of 1 to 8 connected panels can be achieved.

The T2 is built with the very best materials. The copper absorbers are coated with a highly selective surface. This surface, deep purple in colour, enables maximum absorption of energy from the sun, even on cloudy days. In addition, a selective surface will restrict energy losses through radiated heat from the absorber.

The toughened, low Iron, prismatic solar glass on the T2 provides superb light transmission values. Copper pipe runs are soldered to a copper absorber providing optimum conduction of Solar energy. Finishing with side and rear internal insulation, the T2 delivers huge performance with reliability.
